2026 and beyond 🚀
Director’s Note
At Dimensions, our theme for 2026 is RISE.
RISE invites us to step out of our comfort zones and cocoons, and to courageously look at what truly creates the greatest impact for the children and families we serve.
As we move into this year, my focus is on gently and intentionally guiding our team of therapists and our community of parents through this shift — towards work that is less routine, more purposeful and deeply meaningful.
Together, we will take one change at a time: strengthening our practices through evidence-based approaches, neuro-affirming perspectives, and child-centred decision-making in paediatric intervention.
RISE is not about doing more.
It is about doing what matters most, and doing it well for every child and every family we walk alongside.
“Rise not because you are unafraid, but because what you seek is worth the climb.”
STORY FROM OUR PARENT
Tanvee’s Journey
“We have been aware of Tanvee’s condition since her birth. With the support of our family and well-wishers, we consulted a neurologist to better understand her challenges and needs. Initially, we were emotionally very weak and overwhelmed, but over time, we gathered strength and learned to accept and move forward with hope.
Tanvee began her therapies with physiotherapy and occupational therapy at Labyrinth Rehabilitation Center. She attended these sessions for about two years before the COVID period, and we restarted her therapy consistently again over the past one year. Along with this, she is now continuing with speech therapy.
Though her progress has been slow, we can clearly see small but meaningful improvements. Compared to before, Tanvee is doing better now. She is able to communicate using actions, and this itself is a big step for us. Every small achievement brings us happiness and motivation to continue.
We understand that her journey may take time, but we are grateful for the progress she has made so far. Our biggest wish is for Tanvee to be able to comfortably communicate her needs and express herself in her own way.”
THERAPY TIP OF THE MONTH
A Smart AI Tool for Speech-Language Therapy: Child-Centered Storytelling
One powerful way to boost engagement to develop language skills is by using AI tools, one such effective tool is the sites that are available for generating stories to create personalised stories where the child is the main character. When a child hears their own name, familiar places, daily routines, and real-life challenges woven into a story, they feel seen.
These make the child easy to relate to when compared to unfamiliar characters, making it easier for them to predict events, and use language purposefully. For example: If your child (let’s name her Navya) is frightened to go to the Dentist, a simple story of “Navya goes to the dentist” can be generated on the site (https://gemini.google/overview/storybook/). The child’s outward appearance can be specified like long hair, brown eyes, mole on the cheek etc., to relate better.
For children with language-based communication needs, pragmatic language differences, autistic children and speech sound differences, personalized stories can target specific goals such as vocabulary, sentence structure, sequencing, and pragmatic skills. By tailoring stories to a child’s interests and experiences, we can turn storytelling into a highly effective, child-centred intervention tool.

EVENTS OF THE MONTH
Events and celebrations are a significant part of what we do at Dimensions. On these special days, our therapies are themed around the event, exploring opportunities for novel activities within the therapy space. In January, we celebrated the Harvest festival, identifying with the farmers and Republic Day.

Republic Day – encouraging awareness of national identity through creative and interactive activities

Harvest Festival – exploring the theme of farming, food and community
RECOGNITIONS AND COLLABORATIONS
Our Director was recognised by Dr. SR Chandrasekhar for her contributions in 2025 towards capacity building, by being an invited speaker herself and bringing International speakers from the USA.

In January, she was also invited by CAPAAR to be a guest speaker at their 10th Anniversary.
